Use Tuck with Shortcuts, Alfred and Hotkeys
Tuck’s source documents URL actions for launchers. Automation is planned for Pro; these examples describe the documented integration, not a released Pro feature.
Short answer. Automation is planned for Tuck Pro. The source registers the tuck:// scheme. Links such as tuck://toggle-hidden and tuck://search work from Shortcuts, Alfred, Keyboard Maestro, BetterTouchTool, Raycast or a shell. Changing settings over a link is off by default and needs your approval per app.
Steps
- Pick an action. Choose from the list below, such as tuck://toggle-hidden to show or hide the hidden section.
- Try it in Terminal. Run open "tuck://toggle-hidden". If Tuck is running, the section toggles.
- Add it to Shortcuts. Create a shortcut with the Open URLs action and paste the link. Give the shortcut a keyboard shortcut or add it to the menu bar.
- Add it to Alfred. Alfred workflows require Alfred Powerpack. If you have it, connect a hotkey trigger to an Open URL object. Otherwise use Shortcuts.
- Keep settings automation off unless you need it. Reading and writing settings over links is disabled by default. Enable it only for apps you trust, and remove an app's access when you no longer need it.

Settings automation is gated
Apps can read and change Tuck’s settings only after you approve them. The feature is off by default. The project’s security notes describe an allowlist with code-signature checks. You can remove an app’s access at any time. Script hooks that run before or after a profile switch are part of Tuck Pro.
An official Alfred workflow
A packaged, installable Alfred workflow is on the roadmap but does not exist yet. Until then, use the Open URL object as described above.
The macOS steps target macOS 26. Tuck instructions describe its documented settings and supplied UI renders; the public DMG is launching soon. Pro features remain planned.
