The first release of Tuck, forked from Thaw’s development branch at commit 986471fd on 3 October 2026.

  • New name, app icon, bundle identifier (com.tuckmenubar.tuck), tuck:// URL scheme and tuckctl command-line helper.
  • Updates come from tuckmenubar.com/appcast.xml.
  • Requires macOS 26.
  • Everything else is inherited from Thaw at the fork point.
Current known limitations. macOS 27 support is in development and is not part of 1.0.0. Some system items cannot be moved with Command-drag, and menu bar spacing is a beta feature. See the macOS 27 page and support.

Project log

  • 4 October 2026. Website content prepared: free core, planned Pro features, macOS 26 requirements, and macOS 27 support marked as in development.
  • 3 October 2026. Fork date.
